This module is designed to increase the amount and quality of parental involvement in The Varnett Public School. The module provides an overview of relevant research related to parental involvement and identifies the major components in an effective school-wide parental involvement plan. Additionally, the module provides research-based strategies and techniques for increasing and improving the quality of parental involvement in the school as well as suggests practical strategies for teachers to increase parental involvement at the classroom level. Further, the plan provides the framework for The Varnett Public School Parental Involvement Policy and outlines expectations of VPS employees related to parental involvement.
